Welcome to the Dána Bodies blog!

If you are interested in juicy, behind-the-scenes gossip, then this is the place to be! Here we will be documenting our process, giving sneak peeks, offering styling tips, and talking all things body. If this sounds like a bit of you, then stay tuned!

Who are you?

Dána Bodies is a bold, made-to-order fashion brand. We make comfortable and stylish all-in-one pieces. All of our bodies are handmade to order in our Hertfordshire studio using sustainable fabric options. We believe there is nothing more comfortable than a well-fitting bodysuit, which is why we offer all of our garments in three height sizes, because one size doesn’t fit all.

Sustainability is at the heart of Dána Bodies and of every decision we make, from fabric choices to packaging options. We are constantly asking, how can we be more sustainable? By keeping things small, local, and using sustainable materials, we can fulfil our aim to be a more sustainable brand.

OK, but who is the face behind the brand?

That would be me, Maeve, the founder of Dána Bodies. I graduated from Fashion Contour at LCF in 2018 and have been working as a designer in the intimates industry since. My passion for lingerie started when I made corsets for a production of Les Miserable when I was in school. I was fascinated by the paradoxical nature of lingerie - both delicate and structural - and this fascination grew as I learned and created more.

Why bodysuits?

I founded Dána Bodies because, as a 5'10" girlie, I could never find a bodysuit that fit properly! To stop the garment from cutting me in half, I usually had to size up, but this would make it too loose everywhere else! Not wanting to miss out on the comfy bodysuit staple, I started making my own, adding length to the sewing pattern to fit my long torso. I noticed that my shorter friends had a similar problem, and the ideas for Dána Bodies was born!
